Jack W. Stuart, 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, November, 2, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday, November 5, 2010, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Ruffin officiating. Bill Herlovich will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening at 103 Pine Needle Road, Fitzgerald.
Mr. Stuart was born February 9, 1931 in Fitzgerald to the late George L. and Effie Slade Stuart. He lived in Fitzgerald all of his life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1947. Mr. Stuart was owner/operator of The Stuart Company, Complete Air and Complete Realty. He was former owner/operator of Custom Sports Wear and Active Apparel. Mr. Stuart was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol. He had been a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Rotary Club. Mr. Stuart was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Jane D. Stuart of Fitzgerald; son and daughter-in-law: John & Sara Stuart of Fitzgerald; sisters: Mary Ann Chandler of Tifton and Sandra Cato of Fayetteville. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Stuart.
