Obituary

Mildred M. (Hawkins) Moser, 85, of Medway and formerly of Acton and Orleans died August 28 in the Blaire House of Milford following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Russell N. Moser, who died in 2002.
Born in Boston, January 7, 1925, the daughter of the late Warren A. and Mary Florence (MacDonald) Hawkins, Mrs. Moser was raised in Lexington and had lived for many years in Acton until retiring to Orleans where she lived until moving to Medway 8 years ago.
Mrs. Moser was a graduate of Lexington High School and had been an Accounts Payable Clerk at Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett Packard) for many years until retiring in 1990.
Mrs. Moser had been active at St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans and had volunteered at the thrift shop at the Church.
She enjoyed traveling and had taken several cruises and trips across the United States.
She enjoyed interior decorating and being with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Moser served in the Marine Corps during World War II attaining the rank of Corporal.
She is survived by her children, Gail Moser of Medway, Russell N. Moser, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Byfield and Susan Perks and her husband Geoffrey of Granger, Indiana.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ian McGuiness, Carrie, Sarah and Mary Moser and Meghan, Meredith and Geoffrey Perks.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 1 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church in Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
