Obituary

Mrs. Naureen G. (Ford) Roy, 77, passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2010 at Salemhaven Nursing Home in Salem, NH

Born in Lawrence, MA. on June 15th, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Nona (O'Brien) Ford. She attended Lawrence Public Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1951.

Naureen was employed as a telephone operator/clerk for Verizon, retiring in 1991. She was a parishioner of Saint Matthews Parish in Windham, and was a member of the Martha and Mary Committee also at Saint Matthews Parish.

She will be remembered forever for her smile, an easy going manner and as a kind and generous person. She had a successful kidney transplant in 1973. Her sister Pat Hopkins was her donor.

She loved her family and cherished her husband of 51 years. She leaves her husband Robert B. "Pete" Roy,

Her sisters: Patricia Hopkins of Andover, MA
and Bernadine and her husband Raymond Matton of Methuen, MA.

As well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers William and John Ford.

The family would like to thank the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Clinic, Holy Family Hospital and Salemhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the tender loving care she received during her illness.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 20th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Matthews Church in Windham, New Hampshire.

Her burial will take place in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
