We will dearly miss you Irv, dear friend and neighbor. How a tear drops our eyes when we think of your presence taken from us here next door. We'll miss your afternoon walks and talks and your afternoon yawns that gave us such a smile! With love and heart loss, Daniel, Kathryn, Maeve, and Mena

Well done, Irving! I am grateful for your contributions to the life of our community through you dedication to justice, good citizenship, right thinking. And, we do not forget Annabel who, I think, may have been ahead of you in these matters. God bless you and thank from a friend and neighbor. Marcus

Words cannot describe the exploits and aspirations of Irving, who will be long remembered in the Worcester chess community for his kindness and soft spoken dignity. He served as an example that chess is a lifetime sport and hobby. Stephen Dann

I was only 7 when we moved to Worcester and lived next door to Annabel, Irving, and their children. There are many wonderful memories during those years. We have kept in contact through out the years, and I really enjoyed talking to you Irving during the Worcester Foreign Relations meetings. I will miss listening to your views on politics and your intelligent questions during those meetings. Richard, Helen, and Charlie, I am sending my condolences to you and your families as well. Shalom, my friend Irving. Barbara

It was a privilege to know Irv as a fellow U.U. and we will remember him with admiration for his intense devotion to humanism and the ideal of rational thought guiding human endeavors. Our sincere sympathy to the entire Wolfson family in this time of loss. May memories of the rich life experiences shared with Irv bring comfort to all.

I have known Irving for the last 4 years due to our common interest in Chess. I have had the honor of playing him many times at the Worcester Chess Club and have always enjoyed our games together. He will be sadly missed by me and the entire WCC.

We are so grateful to have known and loved Irving these past ten years as fellow members of his UU church. He has touched both generations of our family, through adult education classes, humanist discussions, religious education programs, and, of course, community celebrations. We will miss him very much.
