FALL RIVER - Linda M. (Carriero) Sama, 59, of Tiverton died Friday, June 4, 2010 at St. Anne’s Hospital after a courageous fight with cancer. She was the wife of Michael J. Sama. Born in Fall River she was the daughter of Virginia (Carvalho) Carriero of Tiverton and the late Joseph J. Carriero. Grammy will be terribly missed.
Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include 2 daughters: Deborah A. Bouchard of Fall River and Michele L. Sama of Tiverton; 4 brothers: David J. Carriero of Florida, Thomas E. Carriero of Westport, Joseph J. “JoJo” Carriero, Jr. of Texas and Kenneth J. Carriero of Texas; 2 grandchildren: Nathaniel Sama and Cameron Miller; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael P. “Mikie” Sama.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a 10:00 A.M. service at Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 P.M.
Interment service will be private.
