McKeever, Marie T. of Quincy, died on Monday, May 31, 2010. The beloved daughter of the late John T. McKeever and Margaret (Powers) McKeever. Dear friend of Janet M. Hassler of Quincy. She is also survived by many cousins.
Marie was born in Braintree. She graduated from Boston University with her Master Degree in Education. Her teaching career began in Weatherfield, CT where she taught for 4 years before moving to Quincy in 1954. Marie taught at the Coddington School in Quincy and then the Furnace Brook School which later became the Bernazzani School. After 41 years of teaching, Marie retired back in 1990. A member of the Quincy Retired Teachers Association, she was active at Quincy Hospital Auxillary Foundation. Marie was also active in the St. John's Church Catholic Club. Devoted to her teaching career, she also found enjoyment in traveling, playing bridge and reading. Marie will sadly missed by all those who were fortunate to have known her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 3 - 7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Saturday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint John's Church, 44 School St. Quincy at 10 AM.
Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
