James J. Galluzzo, Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday May 8, 2010 at his home with his family by his side.
Jim was born in Arlington, MA, and was raised in Methuen, MA, where he graduated from Searles High School, class of 1952. He later graduated from Fitchburg State College. He was a Project Engineer with Raytheon in Bedford & Andover, until his retirement in 1996. He served honorably in the US Army from
1957-1963. After his retirement he worked as a customer service representative for the IRS in Andover, & as a Bailiff for the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Dept.
He was the current Treasurer of the Salem Republican Town Committee, & was an activist for many Republican local, state and federal candidates. He was the past chairman of the Salem Housing Authority, & a long time member of the Salem Lions Club. He enjoyed golf, playing cards with his longtime friends, & loved yard sales.
He was predeceased by his parents James and Marion Galluzzo of Methuen, MA.
A son: David James Galluzzo of Salem, N.H., and a sister Gloria Galluzzo Carrier of Salem, N.H.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Judith (Judy) Stone Galluzzo.
A Daughter: Kimberly J. and her husband Kevin Hollins, of Salem NH
A Son: Major James J. Galluzzo, III, currently serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq and his Wife Melissa, and the joy and love of his life, his precious granddaughter Catharine Anne Galluzzo, both presently stationed in Georgia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, at 10:30 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 14, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
