EAGER, Yvette Mondou, of West Roxbury went to heaven on May 5th at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late James Eager and daughter of Emma and Edward Mondou of Canada.
After graduating from Morton Hospital School of Nursing in 1948, she went on to a spectacular career as an O.R. nurse at Boston City and then Youville Hospital until she retired in 1992. She is survived by her devoted friends Ann, Beth/Meyer, Claude, David, Dorothy, Grace, Jane, Louidy, Mary, Nanette, Phyllis/Sam, Peter, Renee, the Bird Lady, Victor; nieces Danielle, Michelle, Pauline; her beloved cat Snickers; and many loved ones, all of whom were blessed to have known this unique and marvelous woman. Our appreciation to the staff of the Deutsches Altenheim and Seasons Hospice for their care and kindness, and especially to Sarah O’Connor, social worker, for her compassion and daily visits.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mass and a reception to celebrate her life on Saturday May 15 in the Church of Advent at 1pm. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Church of the Advent 30 Brimmer St Boston MA 02108, Attn Jim Wood.
