CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

I worked with Lee for years at Cafe Teresa...such a kind man with such a way of his own...Best bread pudding I've ever eaten....used to beg him to make it all the time! Peace and happiness up above... Love, Laura McLaughlin

Lee a very calm Man, loved his Grateful Dead music. simply, loved music in a lot of different forms. We are born to die, the time in between is our story. May all our stories be so colorful. He lived life, if there was a concert he was there. Kinda like the Mailman, nor snow, rain or sleet would keep him away. God speed- it's time out.............

Dear Cara and Family, I am saddened by the news of Lee's passing too soon from our midsts. He was a great friend whom I remember very fondly from our years together when living in Groton, MA from second to fifth grade. We saw one another very briefly after I had moved to Westford, MA when there was a basketball game at Groton; we were both in high school, I think. Our friendship thrived on laughter and I will always remember Lee as smiling, joking, and laughing, sometimes unto tears. My first opportunity to visit the Boston Museum of Fine Art was with Lee, you, and your parents, a day that I have not forgotten. I repeated that visit many times when living in Boston. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the loss of your brother, my first close and great friend.

I happened by accident to hear about our 40th high school reunion and stopped by hoping to find Lee, or at least news of him. I was saddened to find his picture at the table of those who could not join in, and found I had to leave. On my way home I switched from usual news to a classic rock and immediately an old Hendrix song started, as if he'd pushed "play". Over the years many times I'd thought to try and find him, but these were usually while hiking in the woods or enjoying some natural splendor - the kinds of places with no cell coverage even if I were a smartphone person. I think I'll try to find my way out to the old site in the Groton woods and light a candle for him. And I'll continue to remember him, particularly when the world is showing off. Peace. And condolences.
