Obituary

SALEM - Thomas R. Massero, age 51, of Beverly, formerly of Salem, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers following a brief illness.

Born in Salem, he was the son of Nancy A. (Condon) Massero of Salem and the late Francis J. Massero.

Mr. Massero was employed by Rule Industries in Gloucester until the end of 2009. He was previously employed for many years by the Commonwealth of Mass. Developmental Services, and prior to that, he worked at Salem Suede in Salem.

A lifelong resident of Salem until moving to Beverly 10 years ago, he was a graduate of Salem High School in the class of 1976, and was a member of the Franco American Cub in Beverly.

Besides is mother, he is survived by his fiancé, Pamela Knudson of Beverly, one brother and sister-in-law, James F. and Shari Massero of Beverly, one sister and brother-in-law, Christina “Tina” and Mark Zolla of Salem, his godparents, Charles and Jean Foley of Salem, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and two generations of nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am, prior to the service. For those who desire, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
