Mary T. Shanahan
Mary T. (McDonough) Shanahan of Marshfield MA, formerly of Quincy, died February 1, 2010 at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham, at age 84. Originally from Dorchester, she served as a Lt. in the U.S. Air Force and worked for New England Telephone & Telegraph as an operator. Beloved wife of the late George F. Shanahan and mother of Timothy and his wife Elaine of Canton, Sean and his wife Kelly of Hull, Daniel and his wife Sophia of Methuen, Brian and his wife Lenore of Marshfield, Kevin of San Antonio TX, Patrick of Hull, Maryann and her husband Glenn McDonald of Marshfield, and Jane and her husband John Clougherty of Marshfield. Survived by her sister Kathleen and her husband Thomas Nolan of Milton. She was predeceased by her siblings; James and John, George, Thomas and Helen McDonough. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, 24 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., Rte. l39, Marshfield on Friday, Feb. 5 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St Ann by the Sea Church at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4 to 8 p.m.
