Obituary

Pamela Hunt, 56, of Canton, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2010 at University Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Albert Auffrey and the late Jennie (Pietrzykowski) Auffrey, she lived in the New Bedford area for most of her life, moving to Georgia eight years ago to be near her grandsons, Robert and Christian, the light of her life.
Pam was a property manager for MB Management. She won the prestigious Regional and National Manager of the Year award from the Rural Development Federal Agency.
She was also a member of the Screen Actors Guild, appearing in Meet Joe Black, Mystic River and as a double for Kathy Bates in Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys. She was nominated for the Ben Franklin Publishing Award for the memoir Brick by Brick, co-authored with Lynn Donohue. She co-founded the Brick by Brick Foundation, a community organization helping New Bedford area youth with career and life choices.
Pam and her therapy dog, Dylan, lovingly warmed the hearts of people across the life spectrum, from development challenged children to the elderly.
Pamela loved the ocean, Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing the guitar, and never missed the Portuguese Feast.
Most importantly, she loved sharing her unconditional love with family, friends, and anyone in need. Pam was one of those very special people who touched many lives with her kind, loving spirit.
