Daniel T. King, 55, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on January 10th , 2010. He was born in Medford to his parents Walter and Alice (Menzies) King. Daniel had been a resident of Medford for most of his life before moving to Salem New Hampshire 8 years ago. He is a graduate of Medford High School and a former member of the United States Army. For many years he worked as a maintenance mechanic for Textron Systems in Wilmington. He was previously employed by the Sterling, Clark & Lurton Company of Malden. Dan volunteered his time and skill supporting the Stage Theater Group in Everett and the Greater Boston Association of Retarded Citizens (GBARC). He is survived by his wife, Mary A. King; by his children, Eric King of Joshua, Texas, Daniel T. King II of Salem, New Hampshire and Kori King of Salem, New Hampshire; by his granddaughters Leeanna, Mary and Erica King; and by his siblings, Robert King of Stoneham, Norman King of Chelmsford, Walter King of Indiana, John King of Abington, Albert King of Billerica, Edward King of Indiana, Alice Valentine of Medford and Carol Yebba of Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his brothers James, Richard, Donald and Joseph King and by his sister Gladys Broussard. His funeral procession will be held from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday Jan. 13th at 10 AM followed by a funeral service conducted in the Grace Episcopal Church, 67 Norwood St., Everett at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday Jan. 12th from 4-8 PM.
