Hudson, MA/Sterling, MA
MaryAnn (Taranto) Bonica, 61, of Sterling, formerly of Hudson, died Monday, December 28th at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick.
She was born and raised in Waltham, daughter of the late Angelo and Anne (LaCava) Taranto. She was a graduate of Waltham High School, class of 1966 and moved to Hudson in 1973 where she resided for 31 years before moving to live with her son in Sterling. She attended Aquinas College in Newton where she earned her Associates Degree. MaryAnn was a substitute teacher in the 1980’s for the Hudson Public School System.
She is survived by her two sons, Matthew Bonica and his wife Jaclyn of Sterling and Andrew Bonica and his wife Mayuko of San Diego, CA; her brother Angelo Taranto of Chelmsford, her 2 grandchildren Vince and Andre as well as her many nieces, nephews cousins and Aunts and Uncles. She was the sister of the late Thomas and David Taranto, both of Waltham. She is also survived by her former husband John Bonica.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 1st from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
