Marsha Sheppard Elder, 57, of Fitzgerald died Thursday, December 24, 2009, at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon, Georgia.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 28, 2009, at 2 PM at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronny Youngblood and Elder Jimmy Bedingfield officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Elder was born March 9, 1952 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late H. S. “Shep” Sheppard and Eva Nell Parker Sheppard Davis. She was a 1970 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended Ben Hill-Irwin Technical School. She was an office assistant at Walmart and former office manager at Winn Dixie. She had been a C-B Club member.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Elder of Fitzgerald; Brothers, Lamar (Mary) Sheppard of Tifton, Georgia and Charles “Butch” (Elaine) Sheppard of Bonaire, Georgia; Step-son, Jae Elder of Fitzgerald; Brother-in-law, Ray Hill of Gibsonville, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Lynn and Jeff Brewer, Debra and Doyle Harris and Ken and Sherry Mallasch, all of Fitzgerald. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet S. Hill.
