Helen G. (Begley) Feeney, 83, of New Bedford died Wednesday December 9, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Feeney.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Agnes (O'Donnell) Begley, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Mrs. Feeney was formerly employed as the head clerk in the City of New Bedford Assessors Office until her retirement.
Survivors include a son, Thomas F. Feeney of New Bedford; a daughter, Carol Collet and her husband Cochise of Dartmouth; three grandchildren, Gator Collet, Meghan Feeney, and Erin Feeney; and two great-grandchildren, Arianna and Collin Collet.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 19, 2009 at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Private burial will be in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours are omitted. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
