Arlene Francis (Rapoza) Correira, age 58, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly October 22, 2009 in Newport, RI. Wife of Joseph Correira & daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (Pacheco) Rapoza. Before retiring in 1999, Arlene worked as a Telephone Representative for Verizon in the Taunton District. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, enjoyed visiting the Newport Grand, Foxwoods Casino, and spending time with her family and her new granddaughter.
Besides her husband, she is survived her daughter: Jody Melissa Roy and her husband Mark of No. Dighton. Her granddaughter: Hailey Elizabeth Roy. 5 siblings: Alfred Rapoza, Gary & wife Brenda Rapoza, Kevin & wife Judy Rapoza all of Tiverton; Paul and wife Doreen Rapoza of Westport; Veronica and husband John Vargas of Fall River, 2 Aunts, 1 Uncle, & many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Laureen Marie Rapoza.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 8:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Theresa Church, Stafford Rd., Tiverton at 10:00AM. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-8 PM.
