To All the family we are sorry but she truly is comfortable now. Posted: 4/20/2009 by Ken & Maryann Garland of Auburn, NH, USA Hi Berta, Just me, Carlie checking in to say See Ya, for now.
You will never be forgotten because so many people love you. We don't always say that but we do think of you with kindness in our heart.
During my childhood years you looked out for Chris and me when my dad was recovering from some of his many trips to the hospital. I remember how you helped Chris and me with everything from going to school to being home on time.
What wonderful times we had at your table. You could cook up some great dinners. Remember when we kids had to eat in the kitchen. ha I do.
Then one day you said you guys are old enough to sit at the table with the adults.
You were always full of surprises Berta. Hearing you sing was always a pleasure for me. What a voice.
Didn't like the Mom side of you when you 'had' to tell my dad when ever we messed up. But if it hadn't been for you being there for Chris and me who knows were we would have ended up.
Years went by Berta and I brought home a young bride when I was heading to Labrador for Uncle Sam.
Gale has always spoken so highly of you. You accepted Gale as if she had been there her whole life.
It is things like these that will keep you in our hearts and mind Berta. You are quite a women!
To your family and friends I say, Berta has left us for now. But her spirit remains, a little bit in each of us.
May you find peace and love at the end of your Rainbow.
Thank you Berta for being a big part of our life.
