Tyler E. Howell, 18, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Wednesday, March 11, at the Crossview Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Johnson and Rev. Barry Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Ashburn. The family will recieve friends from 7 to 9 P.M., Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Howell was born August 10, 1990 in Tift County to Mark E. and Cindy Burdett Howell.He was a 2008 Graduate of Fitzgerald High School and was awaiting a date to enlist in the U.S. Army. He was an avid hunter & fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters: Taylor Howell and Tanner Howell both of Fitzgerald; Brother: Chad Murray of Ashburn; Grandparents: Mack and Nadine Howell of Blount County, TN, Beverly Harper of Byron and Great Grandmother: Martha Britt of Ashburn;Uncles: Chris Burdett of Fitzgerald, Stephen Peters of Blount County, TN, and Bubba Harper of Byron; Aunts: Tracy Black of Cordele and Debbie Ward of Blount County, TN. He was preceded in death by Grandparents: J.T.”Bunk” and Frances Burdett.
