Anna M. Kelly, 94, died peacefully at the Elizabeth Calsey House in Amesbury, MA on February 16, 2009. Born May 18, 1914, the daughter of Henry and Helen Hoye, she was a lifelong resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's Grammar and High School in Lawrence and married the late Bernard "Barney" Kelly in 1940. Anna was a proud parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence and worked many years at Vincent's Shoe Store. She was a quiet woman who loved to shop, have dinner out and spend time with her family. More than anything Anna was a wonderful, caring, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and great-grandmother. She will always be fondly remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her grandsons and great-grandchildren. Anna will be sadly missed by her daughter; Sheila and husband Richard "Red" McDonald of Salisbury; grandson Kevin McDonald and wife Lauren of North Andover; grandson Scott McDonald of Chicago, Illinois; great-grandchildren Sean, Kayleigh, Joey, Jenna and Danny; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Kevin, her sister Mary "Minnie" Rausse, and three brothers Thomas, Francis and Henry Hoye.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Friday, February 21, 2009, at St. Patrick's Church, Lawrence, MA and interment will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
