Eugene Lawrence Castle of Chelsea and formerly of Dorchester died suddenly on February 13, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Gordon) Castle.
Eugene was born in Boston and spent most of his married life in Chelsea. Eugene was madly and passionately in love with his wife, and was looking forward to celebrating his 59th wedding anniversary on February 22nd. Eugene was very devoted to his children and was a wonderful friend and father to many. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and loved bowling, travelling, swimming, and playing Texas Hold-Em.
Eugene was the devoted father of Arlene Davis and her husband Andrew, Stuart Castle and his wife Carol, Harold Castle and his fiancé Marie, and Leona Orphanos and her fiancé Hank. Dear brother of the late Harold Castle. Loving grandfather of Brian, Nicole, Jeffrey, Derek, Natalie, Daniel, Melanie and Rachel. Also survived by his great grandchild Jordan.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) Chelsea on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 11:30 AM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance at his late residence following interment and on Mon. and Tues. from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
