Obituary

Peter R. Hickey, 77, of Hudson, died December 16, 2008. He was born in Newton MA, October 15, 1931, and was the son of Edward E. and Germaine (Sauger) Hickey.
Mr. Hickey was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Cabot CVL-28 during the Korean War. For many years he worked as a union shop steward for Raytheon and a computer analyst for the ACSI Company in Burlington MA.
He was a member of the Hudson American Legion post #48 and the Nashua V.F.W. post #483.
Peter was an avid golfer holding memberships at the Amherst and Riverside country club. Twice he was the State of NH 4 ball tournament winner.
IN HIS LIFE: In 1956 Ted Williams hit his four hundredth home run, it was Peter who caught the ball. He was an intensive Boston sports fan, he enjoyed coaching youth sports, and classic war movies.
He will be remembered as a good dad, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Family members include the mother of his children, Ann “Shirley” Hickey of Hooksett; 3 daughters, Donna Figgins, of Manchester, Teresa Flynn, of Hooksett, Rachel Ray Hickey, of TX; 2 sons, James Hickey, of Nashua, Kevin Michael Hickey, of Hudson; 3 grandchildren, Jessica, Kelly, Erin; 2 great grandchildren, Cole, and Chance; several nieces nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave. Manchester.
Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
