Kathleen J. (Fitzgerald) Duncan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died suddenly on Tuesday December 2, 2008 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 54 years old.
Kathy was born in Boston on December 21, 1953. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1972. Kathy has been dedicated to her family taking care of them and especially her 2 grandchildren. She was a member of The Somerville City Club.
Kathy is the beloved wife of 32 years to Patrick J. Duncan. She is the devoted mother of Patrick D. Duncan and his fiance Heather Cribbs of Everett, Paula Roderick and her husband Marc of Danvers and Danielle Duncan of Charlestown. She is the loving grandmother of Jonathon and Tyler Duncan. She is the beloved sister of John L. Fitzgerald of Charlestown, Thomas P. Fitzgerald of Methuen, Judith A. DiMaggio of South Boston, Maureen Golden of South Boston, Richard J. Fitzgerald of South Boston and Jane Fitzgerald of Randolph. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Kathy's Funeral will be held on Saturday December 6, 2008 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Friday December 5, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. Cremation will take place following her Funeral Mass.
