Methuen, MA – Alice M. (Hashem) Baddour, 92, died November 23rd at Lowell General Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Saugus, MA on August 26, 1916, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Keamie) Hashem.
Alice had worked at Lawrence Lumber Gift Shop in the late 1950s, and was employed as a clerk with Filene's in Burlington for many years before retiring. She was an active member of St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Lawrence as well as St. Anthony’s Sodality. Alice loved to cook, bake, relax at the beach and spend time with her loving children, grand children and great grand children.
A long-time Methuen resident, Alice was the widow of Albert P. Baddour. She is survived by her brother John Hashem and his wife Kim of North Andover, her two daughters and sons-in-law, Alberta (Bertie) & Phillip Shehdan, and Jeanette & Robert DiStefano, all residing in Raleigh, NC, and her son and daughter-in-law Shae & Marie Baddour of Seabrook Beach, NH. She also leaves 11 grand children and 18 great grand children, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mariam B. Ward, wife of M. Paul Ward of Chelmsford, as well as her two brothers, Fred and James Hashem.
Alice lived at the Methuen Senior Housing before residing at the Blair House in Tewksbury.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday morning, November 26, at 10 o’clock at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Lawrence, MA. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA.
