Mr. John J. Caffrey, III, 57 of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away on Thursday, November 13th, 2008 in the arms of his beloved wife of 28 years Mrs. Patricia Ellen (Holmes) Caffrey.
He passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Massachusetts following a lengthy illness. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the "Dream Team", that gave John the very best medical care available today.
Born on June 7th, 1951 in Lawrence, Massachusetts the son of John J. Caffrey, Jr and Margaret M. (Keleher) Caffrey. Mr. Caffrey, III was educated in the North Andover school system and was a 1969 graduate of North Andover High School. Later he graduated from Suffolk University, Boston, MA. in 1974.
Mr. Caffrey worked as a salesman for N.P. Beverage Co. in Lawrence, MA. and for Horizon Beverage Co. in Avon, MA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of North Andover from 1984 until the present time; he was also The North Andover Representative of the Great Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School of Andover, Massachusetts from 1976 through 1997.
Johnnie enjoyed traveling, loved politics and campaigning, and was “The Best Dressed Golfer" in the area. John loved spending time with Patty at their vacation home in Florida. Rosie and Reilley, his two english setters, were his loyal companions and brought him great joy. John was forever smiling and always brought laughter to those around him with his great sense of humor.

John also leaves his mother-in-law: Mrs. Ellen L. Holmes of Melrose, MA.
As well as 10 nieces and nephews, 2 Special God Children and many aunts, uncles and devoted friends.
John was predeceased by his father Mr. John J. Caffrey, Jr. and his father-in-law: Mr. Lawrence B. Holmes.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, MA.
Burial immediately to follow at the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover, MA.
