Saugus, Ma,
Lenora & Mario, I know there are no words that can remotely express our sincere grief and shock when we were told that Mario Jr had passed away. As a parent, I could only cry knowing the pain and heart ache you all are feeling. There are no answers as to why a young beautiful life has been taken away so suddenly. Why a son was taken from his parents or why a father was taken from his son Maybe some day we all will know that answer.. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Diane & Joe

Dear Mario and Lenore: We were so saddened to hear of Mario's passing. As parents, we can't imagine your pain, but we are praying that although your hearts are broken, that someday all the wonderful memories of your son will make you smile and bring you peace. We hope that his passing was peaceful and that the angels protect him as he settles into his new home. Wherever he may be, you can bet he is bragging about the great parents he has. Much love, Tina and Michael

Saugus , Ma,
I found out this tragic news yesterday. My thoughts throughout the entire day and most of the night were of you Mario. I started to think of how many years ago we met ... I think it was 16 years ago and we met on the street and I happened to need a glass top for my table and there you were entering your "glass truck" and little did I know your business was a minute away from my home. That was a start to a very special friendship!! I could see your smile in my thoughts all day - you were always such a good friend and always made a phone call to me on Christmas Eve as you were sad that I didn't have family and I was alone. I remember you always asking me if I had my oil changed in my car --:) and one time you offered to change it for me and the next day my car was stolen!! We were so sad. I remember you calling me and telling me that Rome was born and you said to me that you loved his name because it was so Strong ... I still remember the feeling I had that day knowing how much love was in your voice for your little boy!! Little did we know Rome is going to need all the strength in this world ... I am so sorry Mario that life got in the way and we lost contact over the years my special friend. I will never forget your kind ways and your love for the outdoors and the love you had for your family. Thank you for being you and I will think of you always ... Your friend ... Chrissy xo

My deepest sympathies go out to the Poto family. I'm an old friend of Mario's and this comes as a big shock to me. I met him when he lived in Tewksbury and Stoneham. He will be missed.
