Obituary

Robert A. Kramer, 86, of New Bedford died Tuesday October 21, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Marguerite A. (Tetreault) Kramer.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Albert and Amelia (Brun) Kramer, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Mr. Kramer was formerly employed as a machinist for the Firestone Mill, then later at Pilgrim Latex in Fall River.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

Survivors include eight children, Robert, Jr. of Barnstable, Michael of Dartmouth, Kenneth and Paul, both of East Freetown, Steven of Phoenix, AZ, James of Uxbridge, Carol of Pleasant Hill, OR, and Marguerite McQuarrie of Glendale, AZ; and eight grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late William, Edward, and Raymond Kramer.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
