Of Laurel Street in Taunton, October 14, 2008, David P. Schnopp died at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife Lena M. Schnopp. David was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and attended Brown University to further his engineering career. Former Manager of Quality Control for Haskon Corporation in Taunton, past president of the Taunton Boys’ Club, past vice president of Segregansett Country Club, former member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Society of Plastics Engineering. David loved his family, friends, church, and golf. Besides his wife Lena, David leaves his two daughters, Linda M. Layne and her husband Dr. Philip R. Layne of Mansfield, MA and Margaret A. Baim of Wayland, MA. Grandfather of Philip Layne of Palos Verdes, CA; Michael Layne of Burbank, CA; Kristina Hunt of Walpole, MA; David Schnopp of Norton, MA; Adam Baim of Chicago, IL; and Christopher Baim of Wayland, MA; and great grandfather to Isabel, Anna, Nolan and Ethan. Private graveside service was held Thursday, October, 16, by O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., in Taunton. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
