Pauline “Polly” Benford Hester, 88, of Fitzgerald died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Osceola Nursing Home in Ocilla.
Memorial services will be held 3 P.M., Sunday, October 5 at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Chaudoin officiating.
Mrs. Hester was born April 19, 1920 in Franklin County, Alabama to the late A.A. and Annie Camilla Kilgore Benford. She lived in Fitzgerald since 1935 where she was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She was a former employee of the Monarch Company.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Debbie Hester of Norcross, GA; Brothers and sisters-in-law: Loyd & Mildred Benford of Fitzgerald, J.L. & Martha Benford, Auburn & Genruth Benford, and Jerry & Betty Benford all of Haleyville, AL; Sister: Geraldine Arthur of Waycross.
