Ada (Tobolsky) Spiegel of Malden and formerly of Chelsea died at Lawrence Memorial Hospital on August 27, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney Spiegel.
Ada was born in Boston and attended the Chelsea schools. She was President of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Walnut Street Synagogue for over 20 years, Past President of the Jewish Civil Service Employees Auxiliary, and a Grand Trustee of the Pythian Sisters of MA. Ada was a member of many Jewish organizations including a life member of the Sisterhood at Temple Ezrath Israel and a life member at the Malden Hebrew School.
Ada was the devoted mother of Alan Spiegel, Ralph and Ellen Spiegel, and Jason Spiegel. She was the loving grandmother of Steven Spiegel and Sarah Spiegel. Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) Chelsea on Friday, August 29th at 1:30 PM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance at her late residence on Monday, September 1st from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ada’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
