Gail H. Fountain, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Monday, August 4, 2008 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 6 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Rev. Edsel Young officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fountain was born September 27, 1946 in Winston County, Alabama to the late Dewey E. and Tressie Posey Haney. She lived in the community most of her life and was a former trimmer for Irwin Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Fountain was a member of Eastside Holiness Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who reached out to people in the community.
She is survived by her husband, Chester Fountain, Jr. of Fitzgerald; son and daughter-in-law, Walden E. & Geri Fountain of Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law, Laura & Mark Hall of Fitzgerald; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sisters and brother-in-law, Janice & Russell Watson of Haleyville, AL and Fonda Henderson of Albany; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ansel & Barbara Haney of Lakeland, Fl and Wayne & Sue Haney of Fitzgerald; 5 half-brothers including Donnie Haney of Coldwater, MS as well as several nieces and nephews.
