Hudson, NH – Edward T. Kelley, Jr., 33, of Hudson, NH died Saturday June 21, 2008 after a two and a half year battle with cancer. He was born in Lowell on June 25, 1974, a son of Edward T. Kelley Sr. and Theresa E. (Menard) Kelley of York, ME.
Ed was raised and educated in Tyngsboro and graduated from Tyngsboro High School in 1992. He graduated from Jacksonville University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduated from UMASS/Lowell in 1998 with a Master’s degree in developmental biology, and attended medical school at the University of New England. He worked in quality assurance for Zoll Medical Inc. in Chelmsford and then as a quality assurance manager for Repligen Corporation in Waltham, MA. One of Ed’s favorite pastimes was visiting local area zoos. He was also an avid sports fan and loved all sports, especially the Miami Dolphins.
In addition to his parents, Ed is survived by his fiancee Jessica M. Lippe of Hudson, NH as well as a multitude of people he touched throughout his life.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM. His funeral will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions be made in Ed’s name to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843 or to Earth Ltd. c/o Southwick’s Zoo, 2 Southwick Street, Mendon, MA 01756.
