Obituary

STAFFORD SPRINGS, CT-Robert Anthony Hennigan, Jr., 49, of Stafford Springs, CT, died Sunday, May 11th in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge. He was the beloved son of Robert A. Hennigan, Sr. and Ann P. (Shea) Hennigan of Worcester. Besides his parents he leaves his brother, Steven R. Hennigan and his partner, Beverly A. Arcouette of Charlton; his sister, Susan M. Hennigan of Taunton; and his sweetheart, Julie Motyka of Springfield.

Mr. Hennigan was born in Worcester, was a 1976 graduate of South High School and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He graduated with high honors from the East Coast Aerotech at Hanscom Field. Mr. Hennigan was employed as an air safety inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration at Bradley International Airport. He was a former member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. Mr. Hennigan enjoyed the yearly trips to Hampton Beach with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, who also enjoyed bird hunting, motorcycle riding, skiing, snowmobiling and canoeing.

The funeral is Thursday, May 15th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 14th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
