Frank Peter Abruzzese age 91 of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at the Methuen Health & Rehab Center, Methuen, MA.
He was born in the North End of Boston, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Salem for the past 2 years, formerly of Billerica, MA.
Mr. Abruzzese was a store manager for the First national Stores, and worked in Chelmsford, Arlington, Medford, & Somerville, MA. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Melrose, MA, where he was very active and was an Elder. Frank was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II. He enjoyed gardening and working around his yard.
He was predeceased by his Wife Mildred (Hamilton) Abruzzese
He is survived by 1 Daughter: Mischele & her Husband James Koury of Salem, NH
3 Sons: Frank M. & his Wife Donna Abruzzese of Alexandria, VA
Stephen P. Abruzzese & his Companion Kathy McCarthy of Yorbalinda, CA
David Abruzzese of North Reading, MA
1 Sister: Sue Andresen of Salem, NH
9 Grandchildren: Tina, Frank III, Josh, Carol, Stefanie, Gina, Kathleen, Jesse, & David II. 7 Great Grandchildren: Johnie, Alexis, Jayson, Jesse, Anthony, Alissa, William, & Amaya. Several Nieces & Nephews
Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 8 from 5-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA.
