Obituary

Edith May (Adams) Cook, 88 passed away Friday, May 2nd at Lawrence General Hospital after a long illness.

She was born and educated in Methuen, MA. on May 16th, 1919 to Frederick & Elizabeth (Stark) Adams and was employed at Cherry and Webb also later at National Cash Register in Waltham, MA. She was widow of the Late Harvey Cook. She enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping and loved the ocean.

She is survived by her two sons, Harvey Cook of Salem, N.H. and Ronald Cook of Methuen, MA. also three grandchildren Christopher Cook of Salem, NH, Kimberly Cook Neher and her husband Christopher of Gansevoort, NY, and Diana Cook Bettencourt and her Husband David of Londonderry, NH. She is also survived by her two great grand daughters, Lily Neher and Bianca Bettencourt, as well as a longtime companion Edward Turner. She is predeceased by her sister Doris (Adams) Chase and her brother Charles Adams.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
