Posted: 5/3/2008 by Lana Burns of Southington, CT, I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Azilda. I worked with Azilda on night shift at the hospital while we were pregnant together last year. I admired her so much. She had such a great faith and always found a way to make me see the positive in everything. It was funny, by the end of our 12 hour shift, we would look at each other and start laughing because we were so exhausted and so pregnant and just wanted so bad to go home and sleep. Azilda loved her family so much, she talked about them all the time. I'm so thankful I had the chance to have Azilda in my life. My admiration of her is even that much more now because of her strength and courage. God Bless to you the family of Azilda, I will always remember her. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about Azilda's passing and her battle with cancer. My deepest condolences to you all. She was a beautiful, gentle, bright soul in this world and will be truly missed! My memories of her are from St. Mary's religious education and Youth Ministry Programs in Eagle Lake. I will forever remember Confirmation classes with her, Maryellen Saucier, David Saucier and Mark Nadeau. We laughed a lot and I hope they learned a litle. The most important thing to me was the companionship, the fellowship, the friendship and the soul connection that was so easy when Azilda was around. She lit up a room and warmed every heart. She will be missed terribly; remembered fondly and treasured forever. Again my sympathies to you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
In love and peace,
