Cleon “Old Timer” Lott, 74, of the Holt Community in Irwin County, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at the Irwin County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday, November 29, at Satilla Baptist Church in Irwin County with Rev. David Biggers and Rev. William Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Osierfield Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Lott was born November 12, 1933, in Irwin County, to the late Henry and Mattie Paulk Lott. He lived in the community all of his life and graduated from Ocilla High School in 1951. Mr. Lott was a farmer and a former employee of Paulk Funeral Home. He was a member of Satilla Baptist Church and supervised elections at the Holt Precinct.
Mr. Lott is survived by his wife, Lucille Hutto Lott of the Holt community, Irwin County; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen & Patsy Lott of the Holt Community, Jeff Lott of Fitzgerald, Tim & Karen Lott and Mark Lott, all of the Holt Community; step children and spouses, Teresa & Bill Sumner of the Holt Community, Lamar & Debbie Jowers of Nashville and Belinda & Scott Williams of Bassett, VA; 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Mary L. Young of Osierfield.
