Obituary

WEBSTER – Beverly A. (Catania) LaPan, 70, of School Street, died Sunday, November 11, in UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 47 years, Robert P. LaPan, Sr.; 4 children, Robert P. LaPan, Jr., and his wife Donna of Charlton, John J. LaPan and his close friend Kim Limoges of Webster, Doreen D. Hadley and her close friend Sean Casler of Northbridge, and Joseph J. LaPan and his wife Pamela of Danielson, CT; 2 brothers, Matthew Catania of Cranston, RI and Joseph Catania of Hartford, CT; a sister, Diana Fandetti of Warwick, RI; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rosemarie and Josephine Alpaio and by a brother John Ciccone.

She was born in Hartford, CT, a daughter of Matthew and Angelina (Perisi) Catania. She lived in Hartford and Rocky Hill, CT. She also lived in Worcester for 10 years before moving to Webster in 1988. She graduated from Hartford High School.

Mrs. LaPan worked at the age center in Worcester for many years. More recently, she was a courier for Snap Express in Fitchburgh.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM at the end of calling hours. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
