Obituary

Alexa R. Hanson, 64, a lifetime resident of Abington, died Wednesday November 7th at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Weymouth, she was the daughter of the late John and Ivyane (Nunez) Hanson.
Alexa was a devoted teacher for 43 years in the Whitman School system, her interest‘s were in computers and taught classes. She attended Abington schools and earned her master’s degree at Fitchburg State College. She enjoyed traveling to Prince Edward Island and had a love for her cats and reading.
Alexa was a member of the Dyer Memorial Library and the Abington Historical Society.
She is survived by her sister Marsha Stockley and her husband Ray of Dudley, her cousin David Nunez of Washington and his children Wendi Cady of Washington, Maripat Nunez of Hawaii, her niece and nephew Lynda Rodriguez and her husband Angel of Webster and Mark Stockley and his wife Glendaly of Southbridge; also great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral services will be held November 9th 7:00P.M., in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, MA. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Friday November 9th 4-7 P.M. Donations may be made in her name to the J.H. Duval School, Attention Library Fund, 60 Regal Street, Whitman, MA. , 02382 or the Dyer Memorial Library, 28 Centre Ave. Abington, MA. 02351
