Obituary

Maria Mercedes Caraballo, 40, of 64 Webber Road, Brookfield and
formerly of Orlando, FL. died Sunday Oct. 28 in her home after a long
illness.
She leaves a son Evan Spencer Caraballo, her mother and step-father
Rhonda (Spencer) and Stanley Grabowski with whom she lived. Three sisters
Sondra Gonzalez of Brookfield, Laura Capers and her husband John of Orlando,
FL, Sarha Caraballo of Quincy,Ma. four nieces Mercedes Gonzalez, Mia
Quatrocelli, Kayla & Isabella Capers, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maria was born in Springfield, MA., daughter of the late Silvio
Caraballo. She was a Para-legal for 12 years at Zimmerman, Kiser &
Sutcliffe in Orlando, FL. and most recently worked for 8 months at
Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman Law Offices in Orlando, FL. She
graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge, and received an
Associates degree from Valencia Community College and a BA in Business from
Rollins College. She served her Country in the United States Army from 1985
to 1992 at the rank of Sergeant. She enjoyed athletics, traveling and
scrapbooking. Spending time with her son was the highlight of Maria's life.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 2 at 10:00 AM in MORRISON-MORIN
FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow with Military
Honors in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours will be Thursday,
Nov. 1 from 5:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to the Evan Caraballo Education Fund, c/o Southbridge Savings Bank, 200
Charlton Road, Sturbridge, MA 01566.
