Obituary

Anthony W. “Mash” Moschella passed away suddenly in Florida on August 10, 2007. He was 72 years old.

Born in Boston, Anthony grew up in the North End and most recently lived in Medford. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the Italian American Citizens Club of Malden, the Sulmona Club of the North End, the AMVETS post 0015, the VFW posts 15022 and 14000 and the American Legion post 0388 in Somerville.

Anthony was the husband of Roberta (O’Neil) Moschella. He was the beloved father of Michael Moschella of Medford, Anthony Moschella of Braintree, Mark Moschella of New Bedford, Jean McCaughliff of Gloucester, Marie Moschella of Weymouth, William Moschella of FL and Toni Ballem of Braintree. He was the dear brother of Antonetta “Nan” Pacitti, Teresa Sabella, Theodore “Teddy” Moschella and the late Rose Bell, William, Constantino and Michael Moschella. Anthony is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday August 16th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday August 15th from 4-8 p.m. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mash’s memory may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, NH 03086-0921.
