Max Peacock, 63, of Water Valley, MS passed away at Crittenden Regional Hospital in West Memphis, AR on February 22, 2010. He was born in Water Valley, MS to the late Alger Elmo and Mary Gaines Peacock. He worked as a painter.
A visitation time will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 12:30 PM until service time. The graveside service will be at 1:00 PM with Rev. Freddie Moorman presiding. Patrick Peacock, Randy Peacock, Sr., Randy Peacock, Jr., Ricky Peacock, Dillon Waddell and Shane Peacock will serve as active pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers are Louis Colclasure, Terry Varner, and Jerry Peacock. He is survived by two daughters, Christy Stacks of Saltillo, MS and Candis Ross Waddell of West Memphis, AR; two sons, Steven Varner of Elizabeth City, NC and Terry Varner of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Betty P. Crenshaw of Toccoa, GA and Debby P. Ross of West Memphis, AR; a brother, Jerry Peacock of Drummonds, TN; three grandchildren, Kimberly Riley, Ty Varner, and Jordon Varner; and one great grandchild, Keilee Riley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce P. Moss and a brother, James E. Peacock.
