Rev. Charles V. Homan Obituary - Water Valley MS

Rev. Charles V. Homan, Sr. passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born in Hollandale, MS on June 20, 1954 to Edgar and Mary Frances Homan. From 1986 until June, 2008, Rev. Homan pastored ten churches and pioneered the use of low-powered TV and cable access channels to spread the word of salvation through Christ.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral service will be held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Arnold Amason, Rev. Raymond Aven, Rev. Dwayne Blackwell, and Rev. Terry Hart participating. The committal will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.
Rev. Homan is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patsy Homan of Water Valley, MS; three sons, Charles V. Homan, Jr. of Water Valley, MS, Danny R. Homan of San Antonio, TX and Jason Homan of Birmingham, AL; his mother, Mary Frances Kirksey Homan Roncalli of Lawrence, MS; two sisters, Judy Wilson and Betty Bradham of Greenville, MS; two brothers, Billy Homan of New Orleans, LA and Gene Homan of Greensboro, NC; eight grandchildren, Mary Grace Homan, Hannah Homan, Kaitlyn Homan, Madeline Homan, Joseph Homan, Mary Catherine Homan, Jonathan Homan and Charles Homan III; two step-grandchildren, Dominick Crocker and Ezekiel Crocker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Vernice Homan; a sister, Evelyn Toups; a brother, Danny Homan.
