Lester M. "Jack" Green, Jr. Obituary - Water Valley MS

Lester Miller “Jack” Green, Jr., age 84, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN. He was born February 19, 1930 in Moorehead, MS to the late Lester Miller, Sr. and Nina Horton Green. Jack was a member of Coffeeville United Methodist Church of Coffeeville, MS, the Masonic Grand Lodge of MS and a 32nd degree A & A Scottish Rite Freemason. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting and woodworking.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon on Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Coffeeville United Methodist Church in Coffeeville, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the church with Rev. Stacey Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the Lambert City Cemetery, Lambert, MS with William Green, Lauren Green, Charlie Taylor, Cheryl Long, Aubrey Falls and Garner Falls serving as pallbearers.

Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bettye Long Green of Coffeeville, MS; three sons, L. M. “Tripp” Green, III (Judy) of Lambert, MS, David Wiley Green (Cheryl) of Lambert, MS and Bryan Green (Patricia) of Warner Robins, GA; four grandchildren, Leslie Green, Lauren Green (Clair), William Green and Emily Green; two great-grandchildren, Ann Grace Green and Mamie Katherine Green.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two granddaughters, Grace Green and Clair Green.
