Michael Cutillo Sr. passed away on September 27, 2010. He was 62 years old.
Born in Chelsea, Michael grew up in Revere and was a longtime resident of Malden and Stoneham. He was a proud USMC veteran who served two tours in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart during his service. Michael was a retired Detective Sergeant of the Revere Police Department and had served in the department for 28 years before retiring in 2002. During his time in the narcotics unit he was well known as a tenacious drug investigator. He was also the recipient of numerous commendations for his dedicated and reputable work from local, state and federal agencies throughout his entire career.
Michael was the devoted husband of Marie (Kehoe) Cutillo, his wife of 41 years. He was the loving son of Louis Cutillo and the late Mary (Pesa) Cutillo. Michael was the beloved father of Michael Cutillo Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Malden, Kristie DeVincent of Stoneham and Steven Cutillo of Malden. He was the dear brother of David Cutillo and Cheryl Pacheco and the cherished grandfather of Angelina, Julianna and Robbie DeVincent and Courtney and Colton Cutillo.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, October 1st at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 30th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
