WORCESTER-Shawn M. Finnegan, Sr., 47, of Worcester died Friday, September 17th at home. He leaves his wife of 23 years and one month, Kim (Piltzecker) Finnegan; two sons, Shawn M. Finnegan, Jr., Eric R. Finnegan both of Worcester; his parents, Lawrence and Mary (Lush) Finnegan of Worcester; five brothers, William of Worcester, Ed and Kevin of Arizona, Brian of Georgia and Jack of Worcester; two sisters, Mary Ann of Arizona and Donna of Worcester. Shawn also leaves his friends and the children of Norback Avenue School who were a wonderful part of his life.
Mr. Finnegan was born in Worcester and graduated from Holy Name High School. Shawn worked for Norback Avenue Elementary School as the senior custodian. He enjoyed painting parking lot lines with his best friend Vin and Rick.
The funeral is Thursday, September 23rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in the New England Dream Center, 5 Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 22nd from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
