Betty A. Doherty (Breor) age 73 of Canton passed away July 17th at home. Born in Springfield, she graduated from Boston State Teacher’s College, taught in the Cambridge School System for 2 years and later taught Second Grade at the Hemingway School in Canton for several years. She went on to run a Family Day Care from her home in Canton from 1986 until retiring in 2004. She was a resident of Canton for the last 49 years. Beloved wife of John P. Mother of John P. Jr. of CA, Stephen F. of N. Attleboro & Teresa M. Doherty of Brookline. Sister of Mary Ellen Falcione of Winchester. Also survived by 3 grandchildren & 9 nieces & nephews. Visting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Tuesday morning at 10:30. Burial Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Canton High Scholarship Fund 900 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021. | |||||
