Rudja Blanchette, 92, of Dennis, MA, formerly of Berlin, NH passed away on Wednesday Aug. 20, 2008. She was the wife for 49 years of the late Alcide Blanchette.
She was an active volunteer with Mesh Club, Golden Age, Androscoggin Valley Hospital Auxiliary and RSVP along with her friend and long-time companion Alcide Valliere. For many years she was an active participant with her good friends in the Walking Group at the Rec Center.
She is survived by her daughters Joyce and son-in-law William Cash and Janet and son-in-law Raymond Levesque. She is also survived by three sisters, Sally Knighton, Sophie Riendeau and Irene Vaillancourt, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many neices and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 26, 2008 at 9 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Monday from 4 to 6 PM.
