John Ferry, Sr. Age 96. Husband of the late Emily(Costa)Ferry. Residence 2446 Highland Ave.,Fall River formerly of Sharps Lot Rd.,Swansea. Died Friday at the Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Swansea, MA. Son of the late Manuel Ferry and the late Rosa (Martins) Ferry. He was a lifelong Swansea resident until Oct. 2006. Before retiring, he was a Self- employed Dairy Farmer. He was a member of St. John of God Church.
He is survived by Three Sons: John Ferry, Jr. of Rehoboth, MA, Edward Francis Ferry of Swansea, MA & Rev. James Ferry of Fall River, MA. Seven Daughters: Agnes Massey of Somerset, MA, Anna Helen Tripp of Swansea, MA, Emily Mary Monteiro of Dighton, MA, Irene King of Westfield, Ma, Evelyn Jones of Swansea, MA, Catherine Ann Vecchio of Southwick, MA & Patricia Ann Moniz of Somerset, MA. 38 Grandchildren,26 Great Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Frank, Manuel and Antonio Ferry.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home,1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA. on Tuesday at 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset, MA. at 11:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset, MA. Calling hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
