Obituary

Martin Littman of Needham, who was a retired school principal, died suddenly March 16, 2006 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham Campus. He was 84.
Born in New York City NY, he graduated from Rutgers Univ. and received his Masters from Columbia Univ. He served with the U.S. Air Army Air Corps during WW II. He was principal of schools in Newark NJ and Oradell NJ and retired after 35 years. He was a member of Mensa, the Needham Retired Men’s Glee Club the Jewish War Veterans Newton-Brookline Chapter and was active and an instructor of International Folk Dance.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla (Sherman) Littman, his children Ellen Whitmer of Pittsfield, Robert Littman of Needham and Jim Littman of San Diego CA, his brother and sister Harold Littman and Rita Goldman both of NJ, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Miriam Steinberger.
A memorial service will be held on Sun March 19 at 2 PM in Temple Beth Shalom 670 Highland Ave Needham.
